In today’s business world, organisations need to take a new approach to career management. It is no longer realistic for organisations to offer lifetime security to employees. Nor is it realistic to expect lifetime commitment from them. More than ever, the organisation-employee relationship is a partnership. Career Management strategies need to reconcile the differing needs of organisations and employees. Managers and employees need to have meaningful career conversations. And organisations need to create a culture which values learning and professional development. The Licensed Career Conversations Facilitator Programme will help you develop the internal capability to do that. It will provide you with the skills, confidence and resources to deliver the Confident Career Conversations Workshop to managers and the Career Compass Workshop to employees.
The Certified Career Conversations Facilitator Programme is a 3-Module Train the Trainer Programme. It equips HR/LOD professionals with the confidence and resources to deliver Career Conversations Workshops.

The Certified Career Conversation Facilitator Programme is for HR/LOD professionals who have attended the Career Conversations Programmes and wish to build practical career conversation skills within an organisation. You may work inside an organisation or may serve as an external consultant/coach advising and supporting organisations.
The duration of the Programme is 3 days which we can deliver in one full week or in a series of modules. We can deliver all sessions in person or online via technology.
We recommend spreading out the modules to allow participants to become familiar with the materials. That way, participants can put their skills into practice and reflect on their learning before building their knowledge further.
As preparation for the Programme, participants will complete an online self-assessment. Areas covered will include knowledge of career conversations, learning psychology and behavioural change. This will help participants get a clearer picture of the areas they need to focus on during the Programme.
The training will be highly practical and interactive. Each participant will receive a Certified Career Conversations Facilitator Kit. The Kit contains all the resources facilitators need to deliver the workshops. The materials will also be available on a Learning Portal. This will include extra resources and reference materials such as white papers, articles etc.
Each participant will receive mentoring throughout the programme. They can also make use of a free coaching call within the first twelve weeks after the final module. Email support will also be available on an ongoing basis to all trained facilitators.
The agenda for the Programme is as follows:
An online self-assessment of knowledge of career conversations, learning psychology and behavioural change. This will establish a starting point for learning.
Module 1 – Influencing Behaviour Change
Participants will learn the stages of behaviour change and the principles underlying new skill development. This will help them communicate, promote and attract participants to attend the workshops.
Module 2 – Solutions Focus and Accelerated Learning
Participants will discover the Accelerated Learning principles and Solutions Focus practices underpinning the design of Career Conversations programmes.
Module 3 – Preparing to Deliver Career Conversations Programmes
Participants will prepare and deliver sessions from the Career Conversations Programmes. They will gain peer to peer feedback followed by one to one feedback from their mentor.
