International Committee of the Red Cross
264 employees from across the globe tuned in, making it the highest-attended session of ICRC’s Career Week.
Client: International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
Sector: Humanitarian / Non-Governmental Organisation
Client challenge/opportunity:
At the International Committee of the Red Cross, employees dedicate their lives to helping others. But when it comes to their own growth, time and focus can be limited. For Career Week 2023, ICRC wanted to change that — starting with a message of ownership, adaptability, and hope.
Solution delivered:
Antoinette delivered the keynote “The New Rules of Career Growth” to launch ICRC’s Career Week. The interactive session reframed career development for today’s turbulent, fast-changing world. Through stories, reflection, and practical tools, Antoinette helped participants see how small shifts in mindset can unlock lasting growth.
Outcomes/results:
The response exceeded expectations. With 264 attendees — the largest audience of the week — the session became a defining moment for Career Week. Colleagues across levels – from frontline staff to senior leaders – were described as “hanging on every word.” The Career Week team shared that the message was spot on and perfectly aligned with what they wanted to reinforce for line managers and staff.
Feedback included:
“Outstanding and super motivating.”
“We could have heard a penny drop in the virtual room.”
“Your message was exactly what we want to give our line managers and staff.”
By bringing meaningful career conversations to life, ICRC showed that even in a humanitarian organisation, growth and development start with a simple question: ‘What’s next for me?’
