Women Around the World Recognized During Virtual Event
I am delighted to have been named the winner of a Silver Stevie® Award in the category of Female Entrepreneur of the Year in Europe, the Middle East & Africa in the 18th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. I also received a Bronze Stevie® Award for Female Entrepreneur of the Year in Business Services with 10 or Less Employees.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honour women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run– worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.
We have achieved these accolades alongside some hugely talented women all around the world. More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 100 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year. The winners were determined by the average scores of more than 160 business professionals around the world, working on eight juries.

Entrepreneurship is a team sport
I am thrilled to have won these awards as a female entrepreneur. To quote the words of one of my mentors, entrepreneurship is a team sport. These awards recognize the fantastic work that my whole team, Team AO, does in serving our wonderful clients all around the world. Our company values include Being Helpful, Delivering Excellence and Making a Positive Difference. These awards show that we are living those values and of that I am immensely proud.
Winners were celebrated during a virtual awards ceremony on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Although we couldn’t celebrate in person in Las Vegas as originally planned, the Stevie Awards organisers did a great job recognizing everyone’s achievements with red carpet photos and interviews as well as recorded acceptance speeches.
