Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI)

Research by Gallup in 2023 showed that 60% of employees worldwide were emotionally detached at work and 19% were miserable. This was one of the challenges the Egyptian Banking Institute wanted to help HR leaders address.

Client: Egyptian Banking Institute (Central Bank of Egypt)
Sector: Banking and Finance

Client challenge/opportunity:

The Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI) was hosting its HR Conference, “Reinventing HR”, in Cairo. With HR leaders facing major challenges – employee disengagement, shifting workforce demographics, and an evolving world of work – EBI wanted to inspire participants with fresh insights on how to retain and develop talent in times of rapid change.

Solution delivered:

Antoinette was invited to deliver a keynote session on “Retaining and Developing Talent in a Changing World of Work”, and to contribute to a panel discussion on revamping HR for the future.

Antoinette’s keynote, Retaining and Developing Talent in a Changing World of Work, combined global research with stories and strategies HR leaders could immediately apply. She showed:

  • Why traditional career ladders no longer exist and what that means for career development.
  • How organisations can future-proof their workforce by focusing on employability and enjoyability.
  • The three-way partnership between employees, managers, and organisations in career management.
  • Practical tools and strategies HR leaders can use to empower employees and managers to have meaningful career conversations.

Outcomes/results:

The room was alive with conversation as delegates discussed how to put Antoinette’s ideas into practice. They left with a renewed sense of optimism and practical frameworks to build a culture of ownership, retain top talent, and enhance the employee experience.
