More than 100 employees joined Essex County Council’s annual LearnFest to explore how they could take ownership of their career development and thrive in an ever-changing world of work.

Client challenge/opportunity:

Essex County Council hosts an annual internal Learning Festival, LearnFest, designed to inspire employees with new skills and perspectives. The 2023 theme, Shaping Our Future, focused on helping individuals navigate change, build resilience, and take charge of their professional growth.

Solution delivered:

Antoinette delivered an interactive keynote session, Shaping Your Future: A Personalised Approach to Career Growth in Changing Times. The 60-minute session guided participants to:

  • Explore their aspirations and how they connect to career growth.
  • Understand the evolving landscape of work and the decline of traditional linear career paths.
  • Learn strategies to future-proof their careers through adaptability, continuous learning, and ownership.

Outcomes/results:

The session was one of the most engaging of LearnFest 2023. Participants described it as inspiring, thought-provoking, and practical — here’s what some of them said:
